The Revelation of Sin

Listen, friend. We should never, ever, be surprised when we sin. It’s part of the human condition. It’s the entire reason we need Jesus and his sacrifice and resurrection. So today, make it your goal to be surprised and thankful when you DON’T choose sin, instead of surprised when you do.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. - Romans 3:23-24 NLT

Praise God for this revelation! Sin is not surprising. We don’t have to beat ourselves up or feel shame when we make sinful choices - that’s just another sin trap Satan would like us to fall into. He would love nothing more than to make God’s people feel worthless and wallow.

No! Instead, we live in the cycle of REPENT, turn, and rejoice.

Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. - Matthew‬ ‭3‬‬:‭8‬ NLT

Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! - Psalm 32:1 NLT

So today let’s make our goal to live like people who rejoice over forgiveness and the conquering of sin! I feel lighter already and I hope you do too!💓
